Encouraging data helped stocks set multi-month highs in the early going, but a substantial portion of the market's gains were surrendered by session's end. Participants drove stocks higher in the opening minutes of trade.
After the close, ADTN, CREE, FULT, LLTC, PNFP and RNST are the most notable names scheduled to report earnings results.
Futures are higher after hours: S&P 500 futures are +1.68 from fair value of 1289.02 and Nasdaq100 futures are +1.74 from fair value of 2389.46.
Tomorrow morning before the open, four economic reports are scheduled to be released: 1) MBA Mortgage Index (Consensus NA), 2) PPI (Consensus 0.1%) and Core PPI (Consensus +0.1%), 3) Net Long-Term TIC Flows (Consensus NA) and 4) Industrial Production (Consensus 0.5%) and Capacity Utilization (Consensus 78.1%).
